Norfolk and Waveney’s three acute hospitals together provide a wide range of services to a population of more than one million people.

We have formed the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group in order to secure a sustainable future for all three hospitals and ensure a unified strategic approach to the complex challenges all three share.  

This marks the start of a new chapter in the ongoing story of collaboration between the three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney.

A group model is better for patients, better for staff, and better for the Norfolk and Waveney healthcare system.

It shows the Trusts’ collective willingness to do things differently, more effectively and efficiently, to optimise patient care and outcomes.

Ultimately the group model will improve the overall quality of care and the long-term sustainability for our hospitals and ensure they continue to provide healthcare that meets the needs of their local communities.
