Matt Dooley joins as Group Elective Recovery Director

24th December 2025

He will lead our collective efforts to achieve the national 18-week standard by March 2029.

Matt brings extensive experience in elective care delivery, having worked with more than 20 NHS organisations and played a key role in policy development and operational delivery during his time with Strategic Health Authorities.

Most recently, Matt worked at the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board and has held senior roles at both NNUH and JPUH, giving him strong local knowledge and established relationships across our Trusts.

Matt will work closely with Jo Segasby, Group Chief Delivery Officer, and Trust leadership teams to tackle waiting list challenges, share best practice and drive efficiency.

"By working together as a group, we can overcome challenges and drive transformational change that improves services, reduces waiting times and better serves our patients,” said Matt. “Coming together provides the catalyst to re-examine how we work across our three trusts and the wider system."
